What information we collect
SAR Autism & SEND Academy is operated by SAR Consultancy Ltd. We aim to follow UK GDPR and EU GDPR privacy principles for learners in the UK, Europe and international English-speaking audiences.
We may collect your name, email address, payment details, course purchase information, enquiry details and learning progress information where relevant.
The current learner portal MVP does not ask for learner name or email inside the portal. Course progress is stored locally in the learner's own browser and is not sent to SAR Academy by the portal.
We do not ask learners to submit medical details, diagnoses, safeguarding reports, private case notes or information about identifiable children, adults, families or service users through the MVP portal.
How we use information
We use information to provide course access, manage payments, respond to enquiries, issue certificates, send useful academy updates and improve our services.
Payments
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. SAR Academy does not store your full card details.
Local browser progress
The MVP learner portal uses browser storage to remember course progress on the same device. This is not a secure cloud student account. Clearing browser data may remove local progress.
Email updates
If you join our email list or request a free resource, we may send educational updates and course information. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Sharing information
We only share information where needed to operate the academy, process payments, comply with the law or provide agreed services.
Your rights
You can contact us to request access, correction or deletion of your personal information where applicable.
International processing
Where third-party services such as Stripe, Netlify or email providers are used, personal information may be processed according to those providers' data processing and privacy terms. The full production platform should complete a GDPR review before adding cloud learner accounts or automated tracking.
